MEMORIAL FUND FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING
The Housing Trust Fund Ventura County is proud to honor the memory of long-time affordable housing advocate Lynn Jacobs.
Lynn passed away on July 4th, 2016 of leukemia, to the shock and dismay of all her friends in the community. Lynn served as the Director of the Department of Housing and Community Development for the State of California from 2006 to 2011, and held numerous other posts locally including a position on the Ventura Planning Commission, Design Review Committee and City Charter Review. She also served on the boards of the California Building Industry Association, the Soroptomists International of Ventura, the Museum of Ventura County and the Community Memorial Healthcare Foundation. Lynn was a developer herself, and has always been an advocate for the importance of housing diversity and affordability.
Lynn is survived by her husband Gary, her son Matthew, her daughter-in-law Carrie and her new grandson Nolan.
